Me, Mady.
My life feels like a collage and collection of moods, influences, and inspirations.
Stacks of experiences, memories, and vintage ephemera.
I can’t get enough.
As hard as I have tried, I have never lived in a place without a corkboard on my wall. I have to rip things out, collect things, write things down, and put them in a place I can always see.
My aesthetic is constantly changing. Like a gallery wall, a bookshelf, a museum exhibition, my patience.
My favorite thing in the world is learning about and looking at art. I can’t draw, paint, or code a website (I can, but hate all three), but I love learning about the people who do it.
There is no style I shy away from.
Abstract Art- Incredible. I will also tell you, no, you actually probably couldn’t do it yourself - and I will explain to you why.
Mid-Century Modern Interior Style? On its way out, but I respect it. Let me tell you the history of the Herman Miller chair that an ex-boyfriend mansplained to me. (Secretly appreciated this and probably the reason I thought I loved him - but I didn’t like this tone at 22).
Minimalism - Here for it, but… where’s all your stuff?
Having an art background and education has allowed me to appreciate all styles and approaches to life.
I do know I am definitely.
A Maximalist
Apologetically Real
Unapologetically Fake
Compliments I’ve received from friends, family, old bosses, and ex-boyfriends;
Dramatic, sensitive, passive-aggressive, lacks communication skills, has commitment issues, highly anxious, way too self-conscious, all over the place, indecisive, easily annoyed, issues with authority, type B, looks mean… can be funny.
