I just like cool stuff.
You can find me at an art museum, the movies, an estate sale, at a vintage market, or in my studio.
People always be botherin’ me, askin’ me what I’m doing at these places. I just like looking at and finding cool stuff, okay? I like being inspired by other people (their stuff), getting out, and clearing my mind in creative environments - it’s how I try to stay sane.
I have dabbled in many creative fields, both personally and professionally. Clients have ranged from government agencies, nail salons, breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, social media influencers, therapists, real estate agents, interior designers, recruiters, restaurant owners, small-business start-ups, families, non-profits, and SO. MANY. MORE.
I’ve helped a wide variety of clients in many different industries. Basically, I can help create a brand for a boring government agency, or a Banksy-esque reproduction of that government’s brand, spray-painted on t-shirts and signs. The options are endless.
What about me?
I love art. Everything about it. I want to do it, look at it, be surrounded by it, everything. I got into cooking because I also want to eat it.
I have really struggled when it comes to the direction of my career - I always knew I wanted to do something creative, but my interests keep changing grow-ing. The way the world works is that you pick something you’re interested in, and you work on it until you retire or die. Ah! The only thing consistent about me is my commitment issues.
I love photography; it was my first love and has remained that way since I started. But once I was about to commit to art school, I freaked. I hated the thought of committing to one thing for the rest of my life. (Future significant others, please ignore.)
Thankfully, I studied art at JMU, met my best friends, and fell in love with art, design, film, and media history in Virginia, where I was supposed to.
So,What ?
My goal beyond being a basic graphic designer is to be a resource if you are creatively stumped, overwhelmed, too busy, or don't give a sh*t and are smart enough to know you should.
Hiring a designer (me) is not a significant investment, but it’s a small (and honestly negotiable) price that I PROMISE will be worth all of your troubles. Getting AI to listen to you and create the perfect logo or brand assets that your business/hobby/event needs is so much more difficult - and unattractive.
I hope to be someone you feel like you can call email or text when you have something that you need assistance with or guidance on. There is no project too small or insignificant.
My face may sometimes look mean, but I swear I’m very nice. Send me a note, and I will 100% figure out a way to help you make something cool.
